Acts 1:8 Fellowship
"...and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." -Acts 1:8
About Us
At our basic essence we are a church, an evangelism church, which meets as a small home group fellowship. We meet together at different times during the week, for inductive verse-by-verse discussion based Bible study, for fellowship, worship and most importantly going out together to share the Gospel. Evangelism is our main ministry. Everyone in the fellowship is an evangelist and is all-in on the call of the Great Commission. The only exception to this is for people with disabilities, impairments or limited mobility (perhaps due to age), but still want to be a part of this type of fellowship.
We are a persecuted church, as any church and any believer will be for being a faithful witness. Our goal is to remain small. We aren't trying to "build a church," but to build faithful and obedient followers of Jesus, disciples of Christ. For non-believers, seekers and inquirers, those who want to know more about Jesus, we provide a separate venue, in private, where people of other faiths can come and feel welcome and safe to ask questions and discuss.
We hope to establish a model that can be taken to other parts of Israel, and to the world for that matter. Our model is following the example of the early church.
Our fellowship is not open to the public due to protection of doctrine and unity. We do welcome new comers, but we have to meet outside of the fellowship first to get to know each other, build/have a relationship and to explain more about who we are. At that point if they feel it's a good fit then we can talk about joining us.
Our evangelism outreach and trainings are open to the entire Body of Christ. Anyone can join. If you are looking for an outlet to go out and evangelize with others, then please contact us. We welcome you. Perhaps that might be the best way for us to get to know each other.
Our focus is on true Biblical evangelism: offering training, resources, equipping tools along with a community of like-minded individuals with a heart to reach the lost.
Prayer and evangelism are the core components of this fellowship. We gather together weekly to pray evangelistically and then set a plan to go out into the world together to share the Gospel. It's a fellowship, and not a "ministry", because we operate as a church.
We hold to sound doctrine and the inerrancy of Scripture. We are conservative, fundamental, Spirit-filled, Bible believing followers of Jesus doing our best to live out faithful, obedient and holy lives. We avoid doctrines that divide. We let the non-essentials go, and hold to the essentials. The Church is so divided today by non-essential doctrines and denominations and man-made labels and descriptors. We want no part in that. The Bible calls for unity, one Body, one faith, one Lord, etc...
"How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, 'How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!'" -Romans 10:14-15
