Why Israel & Jerusalem?

Israel presents one of the best opportunities to reach people from many nations from all around the world.  There's really no place like it in all the earth.

Sadly, after 2000 years, there is no training in evangelism available to the general Body of Christ in Israel.  Yes, there are people doing some evangelism, though questionable in method at that, and only closed-off ministries that claim to be doing evangelism.  But nothing available to the public and to the local church.  So an evangelism training ministry such as this is greatly needed in Israel.

In addition, the church here is very inward focused, and not outward focused.  It's a huge problem in Israel.  We're trying to change that.

Israel is considered one of the least reached nations in the world with only about 10% of 1% reached.  That's .01%.  Both Jews and Muslims in Israel fall into this category.

Then Israel is filled with foreign workers, the highest percentage of foreign workers per capita than anywhere in the world.  And these workers come from nations that also are of the unreached people groups with .01% - .05% on average.  Nations like India, China, Nepal, many parts of Africa and Southeast Asia.  If you want to reach nations of people, go to Israel.

The Bible says that Jerusalem is the center of nations.

"This is what the Sovereign LORD says: This is Jerusalem, which I have set in the center of nations, with countries all around her."

-Ezekiel 5:5

The Bible says that Jerusalem will be the place where many nations will come to in the last days.

"In the last days, ...all nations will stream to it (Jerusalem)."  -Isaiah 2:2

Jerusalem truly is a place where so many nations of people are gathered, both in and around it.

The Bible says that Israel is the place where the Word of the LORD will go out from and eventually where all nations will come to in order to seek the Word of the LORD.

"Many nations will come and say, 'Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob.  He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths.'  The law will go out from Zion, the word of the LORD from Jerusalem."

-Micah 4:2

The Bible says that those who bless Israel will be blessed.

"I will bless those who bless you (Israel)."

-Genesis 12:3

The best way to bless Israel is to bring the Gospel to it, both to Jewish people and non-Jewish people.  For when non-Jewish people get saved then they develop a love for Israel and the Jewish people.

And finally, it's where Jesus said it all begins.

"This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem."

-Luke 24:46-47

"However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given to me -- the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace."  -Acts 20:24
